These two exotic branches of mathematics, from the structure of ice crystals to the structure of galaxies, echo in an extraordinary wealth of patterns and still inspire musicians and painters.
Where can we find these phenomena in nature? What could be the melody of music based on primes or fractals? How does it feel to enter the virtual universe of animated fractals? Are the patterns that permeate our world created by chance or are they the result of conscious planning?
A shorter, approx. A 30-minute presentation followed by a joint discussion is expected.
The lecture is accompanied by a topic-relevant presentation through VR glasses.
