Healing sounds on electric violin

„I play inspired sounds and sounding on the electric violin with loop and effect pedals. I play focusing on the inspired sounds doing it so that my ego doesn’t influences, colors the sounds intended for the audience. I hand out small musical instruments and wind chimes to the audience, with which they can also participate in the musical processes under my guidance, thereby benefiting from the particularly healing effect of the artisting work. I give different instructions for the audience.“

Biography of Gergely Balázs

Diploma: Budapest Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, violinist and teacher.

I played as the first violinist of the Sturcz Quartet with Al Di Meola, with the Jetro Thull band, and also participated in Ennio Morricone's European tour.

In addition, I was a permanent and temporary member of bands of various styles until 2015. After 2015, I perform concerts with my solo production called Lélekhegedű meditations until today.

I studied Hungarian folk music and classical music side by side from the age of 3. Later, historical baroque music was connected to this around the age of 12, then at the Academy of Music and after that I expanded my romantic and contemporary musical thinking and playing style. Then I dealt with the authentic playing style of Irish music, I enriched my repertoire of styles with the performances of the Moldavian csángó flutes, the szültü and the kaval, I practice playing the classical Indian fiddle, I played Gyimes csángó fiddle music, I played bass guitar in a virtuoso progressive metal band, and I also play keyboard instruments.

Joining the Krishna-conscious movement, I immediately learned to use karatala and Mrdanga at the basic level.
