Sisters Voice Music

Thursday | 20 July | 16:30
Water stage

No two concerts of the Sisters Voice female musician community are the same, they are always different. Their self-composed songs mix the worlds of handpan, jazz, blues, ambient and folk songs at the HUG festival this time in duo, trio and big band (11 members!) formations. The "vibe and stenk" given by female vibrations is absolutely guaranteed.

Sisters Voice base band musicians: Telma Lincoln (vocals; Anima Sounds System, G Ras & Planeteerz), Boglárka Báthory (saxophone, vocals; 30 degrees in the shade, Magácska), Kata Mosonstori (vocals, guitar; Pablo and the Escobars), Lívia Bagóczky (vocals; Balkan Fanatik), Rebecca Gátfalvi (violin, keyboard, drum machine, vocal; Arulei), Ferencz Mari (keyboard, vocals; Pablo and the Escobars, Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill memorial band), Bukky (vocals; Zagar), Csilla Ruzics (guitar; Macskakő, Télucca, Rumpedli), Marlia Coeur (handpan, vocals, guitar; Marlia Project), Bernadett Ditrói (handpan) and guest musician: Eszter Tóth (vocals; Napfonat, Lanou).

Bio:

Sisters Voice Music is a women's musician community, workshop and concert series. A grassroots initiation: base band with open jam, community-building improv music games and room concert programs. Their events are dog-friendly, kid-friendly, mom-friendly and veggie/vegan-friendly.

Sisters Voice started in January 2022 in the Manyi’s community hall, then moved to the Ellátó bar. The nine-member basic band and the 60 female musicians who joined them have had 40 events so far: their own concerts and jam sessions, but they have also appeared at exhibitions, women's open-jams in Vienna, at the HUG handpan and the Organix festivals. Founder-main organizer: Szilvia Tóth (HUG Festival co-organizer), co-founders: Telma Lincoln and Bogi Báthory.
